What could be better than a soft summer evening outdoors experiencing live music. We think not much and so every summer the Hilliard Arts Council hosts a Sunday evening concert series featuring an eclectic mix of performers and music styles. The concerts are free to the public and occur in front of the Hilliard Civic and Cultural Arts Center. Concerts are rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather the concert will be held inside the HCCAC. Don’t forget we are DORA friendly – feel free to bring your beverages from DORA friendly establishments in Old Hilliard.
A little bit country, a little bit rock n roll, a little bit martian-blasting space cowboys. This describes the eclectic sounds of Betty Bangs, a Summer Concert Series staple. Betty Bangs was born when singer, Abby Musick and guitarist, John Estep first strummed through Johnny Cash’s classic “Jackson” as a duo playing in small bars and clubs in 2018, Having since expanded into a larger ensemble featuring saxophone (Cliff Marsh), bass (Jacob Maynard), and drums/percussion (Ross Musick), the band has quickly become a crowd favorite across Ohio. Whether they’re belting out a Dolly Parton classic or one of the many Betty Bangs originals, there’s no mistaking the talent and passion that each member brings to their music.
This year the Summer Concert is made possible in part due to the generous support of Coffee Connections, Rotary Club of Hilliard and Destination Hilliard.
