Zayne Harshaw, a self-taught guitarist, dreamt of having his own band was diagnosed with autism. Not letting this deter him from his dream he formed a group of four who came together under the name “Spectrum”, which eventually changed to “Blue Spectrum.” The new name also brought new dimensions, expanding the Spectrum family to include new members. The band is passionate about their message: “Life is not to be viewed through the single lens of a diagnosis, but to be lived through the Spectrum of potential, promise and purpose”.
On our outdoor stage you will find Zayne Harshaw playing acoustic, electric, and bass guitar, Amelia Rose on the keyboard, Alan Jefferson with vocals and bass, Cliff Marsh playing the saxophone, and Hosea Hooks a seasoned percussionist, bassist, and keyboardist. Together they hold down the beat for the Blue Spectrum sound- a beautiful mix of blues, rock, R&B, soul, pop, and jazz! The band will perform at our outdoor stage at the Hilliard Civic and Cultural Arts Center at 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 25th. Just follow the groovy sound. These free concerts are made possible in part due to the generosity of the Rotary Club of Hilliard, Coffee Connections, and the Ohio Arts Council. Don’t forget that the Hilliard DORA is in effect, so feel free to bring food and adult beverages from participating Hilliard bars and restaurants.
