Curator Chris Duda (@chrisdudaxd) has gathered the work of 14 women artists from central Ohio area and beyond to be exhibited at the Daniel B. Vance Gallery at the Hilliard Civic and Cultural Arts Center at 5425 Center St., Hilliard Ohio from August 6 and October 6, 2023. Participating artists include Hadley Rodebeck (@hadleyrodebeckart), Sydney Johnson (@thedroidsinparis), Lori Daugherty (lori@dartyart.com), Linda Hart (@linda.hart.artist), Michelle West (@michellewest7961), Paige Hashman (behance.net/3307302a) , Neera Sharma (shaneera@gmail.com), Lori Hansen (@jamiehansenart) and Enid Quinn. The work ranges through not only a diverse group of artists but also a diverse set of mediums from paintings to printmaking to mixed media and more.
To kick-off the exhibition, an opening reception will be held from 6pm till 9pm featuring a chance to meet the artists as well as to enjoy some complimentary light snacks and beverages . The HCCAC is DORA friendly with many food and drink choices nearby that can be brought into the facility. As an added treat, a concert will be held outside the building featuring the Brazilian jazz sounds of the Invisible Lights Quartet from 7-8pm. Feel free to peruse the exhibition and then enjoy the concert, or vice versa!
The Vance Gallery is the only dedicated gallery space in downtown Hilliard and is open for viewing for any and all events occurring at the HCCAC. The collection can also be viewed outside of normal hours by special arrangement. Contact us at info@hilliardartscouncil.org to schedule time for a viewing. All work is available for purchase, which can done at the gallery. Arrangements to take home purchased work after the exhibition can be conveniently arranged at the gallery.
