Do you enjoy singing? Why not join the Hilliard Community Chorus? We are a non-auditioned chorus of singers open to anyone high school aged and older. You do not need to be a Hilliard resident to join, just love to sing! Come join us and bring a friend! There are two major performances a year: Handel’s Messiah in December and a spring concert in May. Our director is Logan Fletcher, an elementary music teacher in the Hilliard City School District and a graduate of Capital University in music. He is very excited to join us this year and has some wonderful plans for us. We rehearse and perform at St. John Lutheran Church located at 6135 Rings Rd. HFall session 2019 The choir is open to all singers in grades 3-8* who want to have fun, make new friends, and sing beautiful music. There are no auditions, and no prior singing experience is necessary.   Note:  Our performances in December will include many Christmas carols. COST is $50 PER CHILD. Everything from “Chicken Little” to “The Gingerbread Man” gets a complete makeover. Fun music and witty narration accompany the likes of ineloquent giants, sassy barnyard animals, colossal cow pies, and enough stinky cheese to go around. Rehearsals will be held every Monday thru Thursday, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., Saturday 10 – 11:30 a.m., and Sunday 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. thru to the week of the show. The goal of the HYC is to help kids develop good singing technique, expose them to new songs and musical styles, and empower them to find their voices through music! Jayne Wenner is our Director and brings a wealth of teaching experience as a retired Hilliard City Schools teacher and current OSU Supervising teacher for young music teachers.
